Who we are

We are the New Zealand Blackcurrant Co-operative

The New Zealand Blackcurrant Co-operative is an association that is involved in the production, management, sales and marketing for the New Zealand Blackcurrant industry. Members of the Co-operative are growers of New Zealand Blackcurrants.

The Co-operative oversees all steps of the growing of New Zealand Blackcurrants. Immediately after harvest the Co-operative processes the blackcurrants to juice concentrate, IQF, puree or dried powders. The Co-operative then sells these ingredients to manufacturers around the world to produce finished products for the consumer.

The Co-operative is based in Canterbury, in the South Island of New Zealand, the primary growing region for New Zealand’s blackcurrant crop. This region has abundant fresh clean air, pure water and high levels of sunshine that combine with the generations of grower expertise to deliver the world’s best Blackcurrants.
